2005 CTS V Maggie, CS 8.8 71K

This is a solid car but kind of a project.


The Bad:
1. Branded Title. I have pictures of what the car looked like when it was damaged. I bought it from a guy that bought it from the person that had it fixed. He bought it from an insurance auto auction.
2. With a branded title it obviously has some paint work.
3. Some minor dents in the roof. Not really noticeable. See pics
4. Duel Mass flywheel shutters on shutdown. Come with a new LS7 Flywheel, Clutch and Slave.
5. Previous owner smoked in the car. Small burn hole in driver’s seat. Previous owner was a mechanic and apparently didn’t wash his hands before he got in the car. Some of the interior is stained.
6. Oil Pressure always read 129psi
7. On every startup you get the “Low coolant” MSG. Coolant level is fine.
8. In the summer with the AC on sometimes get the Oil Temp warning Msg.
9. Seapage at the rear main seal. Power steering rack also has a small leak. I’ve had the car for a year and half and it’s parked in my garage. No drips ever on the floor but when you’re under the car you can see it.
10. Sometimes I get a strange grinding noise when backing out of my garage or turning at low speeds. I thought it might be the wheel bearings but they seem fine.
Not sure???? It's only at low speed.

The Good:
1. Maggie Installed. Unsure of tune or who installed. I’ve never been to the track or dyno. Previous owner hadn’t either. Runs good. A little cold blooded in the morning. No funny noises.
2. CS 8.8 installed by previous owner. It was whining a little on decel so I had it rebuilt with new gears, bearings etc. Custom made axles. Org driveshaft modified to work with the 8.8
3. New Nav Buttons
4. New tires
5. Stock exhaust with muffler delete.
6. Eibach Springs
7. BMR anti-Hop
8. I installed new motor mounts about a year ago.

Carfax shows a miles issue because the insurance auto auction said the odo was inop but they also took a picture of the odo functioning that matched the reported miles at the time so i didn’t worry too much about at.
