The Fastest C6 in the world – 2007 Corvette Z06
A good friend of mine is selling his C6 Zo6. If you have any quesitons about the car please PM me.
A lot have followed the progress of this car since I started the project earlier this year. My goals were simple, I wanted to get the car into the 8’s and have the drivability of a stock car. While the car hasn’t seen a 8.99 yet, it has went 9.27@156.25 without locking the converter and 9.98@159.16 with a late lock up; all with Density Altitudes over 1200. There isn’t a single C6 out there to have trapped more in the ¼ mile! Plus I did it in 100% full street trim, no skinnies, no slicks, full interior! This car screams with 1046rwhp/1023rwt through a power robbing 4L65e Transmission! Estimated 1300 flywheel hp!
To the Stats!
2007 Velocity Yellow Corvette Z06 with 4,600 miles, Navigation, Heads up, Power Seats, I think it was a 3LZ? Had every option available in 2007. Stickered for over $78,000 and was purchased new by myself.
Engine: SDPC built 427 LSX Iron block, Callies Crank & Rods, JE pistons -29cc 9.12:1, Diamond Piston rings, ARP Main stud Kit, Clevite H Main & Rod Bearings, N-Motion Timing Set, Wet sump conversion, CTSV lifters, Harmon Sharp Modified LS7 Rockers, Comp Cams Custom IPS specd NON-Split Cam, Lightweight Harmonic SFI balancer, Arp Crank Bolt, Manley Pushrods, Dewitts Radiator & High Output Fans
Heads: ETP custom LS7 6 Bolts per cylinder CNC Heads with 70cc combustion
chambers, Ferrea Titanium Intake Valves, Ferrea Inconel Exhaust Valves, Copper Intake Seats, LSX 6 Bolt Lugs
Power Adder: The Full APS Twin Turbo kit with GT35R’s for C6Z06, IPSMotorsports.net completely overhauled the entire kit to make the power the car is making. (Fuel lines, wiring, radiator cover, etc) Apexi avcr Boost controller.
Transmission/Rearend: RPM Level V 4L65E with a few RPM tricks to hold the power for as long as possible , Precision 3200 Stall with Lock up converter, SFI Housing and Flexplate, 300M 4L65E Heavy Duty Output Shaft 30 Spline, Torque Tube Drive Shaft, 300M CV Axles, Late Model C6 Z06 Differential, Micropolished with 300M LH/RH Shafts, Carbon Clutches
Quaife torque biasing differential upgrade.
Suspension: Pfadt Coilovers, Pfadt transmission mount, and full bushing kit.
Other Notables:
• Chrome CCW SP500 wheels 18x10.5 and 18x13’s with BFG Radial Tires up front and M&H 345/35/18’s in the rear
• Katech Performance painted intake and valve covers
• GM one piece rear spoiler
• Dynamat’d entire back half for better interior sound control
You will not find a faster or nicer C6 out there! The car is perfect and will run 8’s! Drive it around on normal pump gas at 800-900rwhp and when it’s time to crank it up, put a touch of race gas in there.
You can’t even come close to duplicating this car for what I’m asking. IPSMotorsports has spent a lot of time making this car perfect. Not many shops can finish a build in the middle of June, get the break in complete and have it running consistant low 9’s starting in August! Anybody that has done serious builds like these on any car can tell you, it can take several months to get all the kinks ironed out.
Only reason for the sale is I want to do a 2009 Z06 in a different color with the same basic setup, few minor changes like a glide, bigger turbo’s and get the car well into the 7’s. While I’ll certainly be losing money selling this car, I really enjoy new toys and big projects. Prior to my 07 Z, I had a 06 Viper Coupe with 700rwhp!
Anybody interested is more then welcome to come test drive the car and see for themselves that you can have a low 9 second street car!
Asking Price: $115,000
