Default WTT: Feeler, 79 Trans Am (Resto) for Modded LSX Car

I have a restored 79 Trans Am (W72/WS6 Z-code) with T-tops that I bought about a year ago for 19K from Trans Am Specialties, well I never drive it so I am thinking about trading it for a nicely modded LSX car, looking for whatever you got but it must be pretty nice, not nessecarily worth 19K, but no junk. Trans Am's, Camaros, GTO's, Vettes you name it I might be interested. I am located in Shreveport La, and you would have to make the trip, but the 79 would make a trip back, but I would not want to drive for fear of cosmetic damage to the car or breakdown, it is a 30 year old car after all. Details about the 79

96K original miles, matching number 400, 4 Speed option (the actual Ponitac engine, only about 8K out of 115K or so TA's made in 79 had the 400)

New paint and interior, very nice, front bumper has a few spider web cracks but the rest looks great, new decals and pinstripes

WS6/W72 options, 4 wheel disc brakes and 15x8 restored wheels with NOS GM center caps, new Cooper Cobras

Original paperwork and build sheet, oricinal Black and Camel Tan car with gold bird

No rust on original body panels and floorpans

Stuff I have replaced since buying the car. Starter, Battery, Fuel Pump, Vacume hoses, Overflow bottle, Tail lights and gas door, had dash bezel and steering wheel spokes restored by Randy Combs, Added SE pinstriping.

Car is very nice over all, runs well, drives well, AC blows cold, Power windows work! Pretty much every thing works on this car.

Things the car could use in the future, probably will need a new clutch and some motor mounts if you planned to drive it every day, but it is totally drivable now, the previous owner told me that, but I really could not notice that it needed these. Leaks just a few drops of oil, but not bad at all. Power locks semi function, as if the solonids are not quite powerful enough (some of the time) E-brake light switch is not functioning, but disconected so you get no indicatior on the dash when the Ebrake is set. Thats about all I can think of, pretty minor stuff, and I am super picky, but need to disclose.

IF you have any specific questions, (I am sure I did not cover it all, remember 30 year old car) post or PM me.. Here are some pics, they speak for theirselves to the condition of the car.

Probably not what you're looking for, buy I have a 00 TA - black on black - leather - t-tops - Auto. Powertrain is stock. I have replaced all bushings and added sway bars - lca - sfc - and completely redone the stereo. Pioneer cd/ipod/bluetooth - 10" stealth sub - 95,000 miles.

That's my dream car you have there so I thought I would offer. Good luck

Sounds like a nice TA you got, but i want something pretty heavy on mods, I have a stock CETA, so I want something over the top.

That's nice looking '79 T/A you got. I'm actually in the market for a 400 W72/4-spd car and trying to sell my '79 T/A 403 cu.in. with 28,200 original miles.

Bringing thread back from the dead again, entertaining cash offers as well now. I paid 19K for this car so please don't give me some ridicoulous offer and expect to get a reply from me.
