No, this is not a scam. The car has a salvage title, and we all know that kills the cars value, no matter what kind of car it is. I've done a little digging around and found the car was originally sold in Albuquerque NM to a Will Eggleston and a couple of years later it was in a front end collision which deployed the airbags. The car was repaired after the accident and somewhere along the line, it was sold to a guy in Colorado Springs who outfitted the car with a D1SC Procharger and the supporting fuels and air mods (listed below). I hate to get rid of the car, but I've got to get the hell out of my apartment and into a house while the market is still ripe.
SPECS:
Firehawk #476
10th Anniversary Package #112
62,xxx miles
TCS
BUPSS Suspension
Auburn rear
M6 w/ B&M Ripper
Tan Leather Interior
Power driver and pass seats
Power windows and d/l
Monsoon w/ 12 disc changer
12" Alpine R10 Sub
JL Audio Sub E1400D
Twin Intercooled D1SC Procharger
New fuel pump (sorry, no specs)
62# injectors
Polished MAF
3.23 gears/came w/ 4.10's and still tuned for 4.10's
Pacesetter coated LTs
Pacesetter off road Y
Dynomax Muffler
Center oil gauge isn't hooked up
Interior:
The pics show that there's some marks on the back of the rear seat. They aren't permanent by any means a
good scrubbing will take those right out. The carpet in the hatch is probably the ugliest part of the
car. There were 2 nitrous bottles mounted in back so holes were drilled through the carpet and the sound
deadening material was removed in place of a piece of chip board to mount everything on. The passenger
side panel has a nice crack running down it, but the drivers side panel is perfect. The seats are in damn
good shape, a little wear on the drivers bolster but no tears to be found. The Drivers side sunvisor didn't come with the car, but it shouldn't be hard to come by.
Electrical system:
A couple of gripes here. There's a "Check oil" light that is on more often than not, but the oil level is fine as I have checked it often. The cruise control cable sticks and partially keeps the throttle open which made for a couple of scary drives into work. I don't know if it just needs an adjustment or maybe a little bit of lube. The center Oil gauge that was added in the vent has power to it but it hasn't been hooked up to monitor the oil. All parts are there, someone just needs the ambition to finish it up. I can't believe I am saying this, but the stereo sounds AWESOME! My last z28 had the monsoon in it and it never sounded this good.
Paint
It's a 10' paint job, plain and simple. The front bumper has some spider cracks and the black paint has shedded off in a few spots showing the original color of the bumper (poor paint job). The spoiler has some serious sun fade issue's as you can see in the pics and I'm sure a little elbow grease and the right products could really
make it shine. The sail panel has started to bubble, and with the black paint it's going to be a lot more noticeable than on most other colors. I will be adding pics of all the spots that stand out so you can see what you would be dealing with.
Body:
A couple of small dimples, but nothing very noticeable. The firehawk hood is in good condition minus a small crack on the corner that can easily be reapired (pic to come).
Drivetrain:
The car was outfitted with a twin intercooled D1SC Procharger, MAF, 62# injectors and a new fuel pump (no
clue on what brand) and tuned by Rocky Mountain Competitive Research (www.rmcrperformance.com) out of
Colorado Srpings. After it was tuned, the car made 480hp and 480tq to the wheels on 5lbs, but now the SC belt is
slipping so I can only get 2-3 lbs out of it under full throttle. Other than the slippage issue, the car runs really strong and it's a blast to drive even with the low boost.
Wheels/Tires:
The rims aren't in the greatest shape but they still look presentable. Two of the fronts were replaced and painted gold to match but the paint job they received isn't the best as you can see runs on them when looking up close. One of the originals has a good scuff on it but could easily be repaired. Tires are BFGoodrich Firehawks that have at least 50% tread left.
I haven't had the chance to do much to this car as I wanted to. I replaced the rear trunk struts, added a Delrin shift ****, removed a mess of wiring that were used to arm the nitrous bottles (switches are still present in the center console are unhooked) and bought a couple of new fobs and programmed them for the car. Driving this car you wouldn't have a clue that it was ever in an accident, it drives strait as an arrow and runs incredibly well.

I'll keep adding pics of troubled paint spots so you can at least get an idea of what you would be looking at.

with a sc and that low mileage that is a great price regardless of salvage or not, i'm still trying to get to this power level and i've spent more on my car and trying to get it there than what you are selling it for great price ttt for you
