Well I'm at that point, I don't forsee myself completing this Z in the near future with a lack of funds and time. That said, I'm looking for a trade. I have 27k invested into this project, I DO NOT want to part it out. It has a clean title. Your vehicle's Kelly Blue book value or fair market value subtracted from 20k to equal the cash. I'm eating 7k worth of parts and labor. It would literally take someone less than a month to get this thing running, 98% of the work has been done. I just need a running car and some money (trying to buy a house).

I'm looking for:
Pre-1975 Datsun close to fully restored or fully restored/modified or all original. Any engine but has to be a manual transmission.
Pre-1975 Datsun 510 - same requirements as the 240z.

OR

A commuter car: Mazda 3's, Audi's, BMW's, newer honda's, Acura's, Prius etc. Anything that gets good gas mileage. Other vehicles of interest welcomed.

ANY AND ALL VEHICLES must be a clean title and active registration. Post-1975 Vehicles must pass SMOG.

Yeah 20k, I have now closer to 22k in parts. Labor is still adding up. Total cost is now closer to 30k to replicate the vehicle to its current state. Sounds like a lot, but I'm eating a crap load on parts and labor. Not to mention a lot of custom one off parts (ITB's etc.)
