Would you take the Kelly Blue Book value for the car?

thats laughable, the kbb on this car is 13k. Its worth 16.5k, thats why I hate kbb. I have a 2000 T/A with 36k miles and the couple of stealerships I went to were going to give me 12k for my car. HA!

oh and bumb for a very nice black t/a

When did offering the NADA or Kelly Blue Book for a car (any car) become "laughable?" Am I missing something? The car is stock and in good condition....no high dollar wheels, stereo systems, etc., correct? If he didn't like my offer, he could have said so himself or he could have counter-offered and that would have been fine by me. However, as you own a similar car, you felt compelled to chime-in on another persons thread and insult me because you felt my offer was too low. Would that be a fair assessment? Has anyone every given you a "real, money in hand, offer" (not a saturday night, sitting in a parking lot someplace, offer from one of your broke, no way they could ever come up with the money, buddies)? If so, was it 25% over the NADA or Kelly retail price as you have suggested would be reasonable price for your car (I'm assuming your car is stock and in good condition)? It doesn't matter if it is a car, a house, or a toaster oven, the tendency is to think our stuff is worth more than people are willing to pay, and their stuff, whatever that may be, is priced higher than it is worth. Indeed, it is a very nice black t/a and I am trying to open a dialog with this seller. I would appreciate you not flaming one of my posts because you have some need to stroke your fantasy about what you think your car is worth.

Previous owner had neon tube lights under the front/rear & left/right, one switch front/back, the other left/right.

Ripped them out the day I bought it.

I guess that KBB value would be about $ 13K for a private party sale. The problem with KBB, or any other value estimator, is that it does not take into the equation that this is a rare car with little to no comparable model made any more.

The Mustang is a laugh, terrible retro design and pales in comparison when it comes to performance. You'd have to buy a M6 C5, or better to find a faster, better handling DOMESTIC car.

They already pulled the plug on the GTO as the looks were so boring they couldn't sell an otherwise great package.

I have had dozens of cars so far, several vettes, a few other f-bodies, a few mustangs, and dozens of different sedans.

No other domestic car I have ever owned, driven, or rode in compares to this.
There will not be a comparable domestic car made for at least 2 years when/if the challenger comes out, at over $35K.

So, my car, and all other similar f-bodies have value beyond what kbb, edmunds, or any other estimator states.

Price is what it is, I have already turned down $15K from a couple of people. Firm, viable offers.

Look on the Autotrader (where my also is) and look at what they are going for. Dealers have them at $22K.

A car, or anything else, is worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it.
