1994 Trans AM 5.7L LT1 For Sale
$5000 OBO 1994 Pontiac Trans Am. 89.2K original miles. Auntomatic transmission. Burgandy exterior, grey interior. T-tops. I bought this car in Feb. at an auto auction when it was a repo. Have had the oil changed and a tune-up done since then, and had it checked out by a master mechanic. He told me the following: 1. The serpentine belt would need to be replaced soon, and 2. A rotor may need to be turned. Other than that, he said everything else on the car was in good shape. Ive put about 2K on it since I bought it with no problems whatsoever. As far as the cosmetic features: 1. Someone put a bra on the nose at one point and now the clearcoat is peeling in that spot and 2. There is a approx. 3" rip in the drivers seat and a small spot ont the back seat where some stitching has come undone. That part is fixable just by finding someone who can sew. As far as parts which dont work, they are: 1. Steering wheel controls (have to use the radio the old-fashioned way) and 2. the doors have to be locked manually. Either one could be something major or something easy to fix; I havent even touched them. I simply want to let everyone know every little thing that I have found wrong with the car so there will be no surprises. If I havent mentioned something in this section, then that probably means it works, but ask to make sure. The t-tops doesnt leak, and windows and power headlights work fine. The rest of the interior looks really good for a 12 year car. The dash is free of cracks or anything, and shines up really well with ArmorAll. The paint is pretty glossy, except for a few small spots which one would expect. As far as modifications, I am female, so I really cant tell, but I asked my mechanic and he said he didnt see any. I am going to post a few pics if I can, but if you want some of anything specific, please dont hesitate to ask. If I dont have them, I will walk outside and take them. My reason for selling is that I have two small children, and on April 1st I totalled my SUV, so Im now on the hunt for a new one, and could really use the extra down-payment money. Plus, the car really just sits in the drive-way until I get a chance to get away without the kids, and that doesnt happen very often. The car is also listed on Autotrader; just search Trans Ams in the zip 28621 and you'll find it. (Only one in that town for sale there.) I appreciate it if you've read this far while Ive rambled on. Please ask any questions and I'll answer them best I can or bring the car to someone who knows the answer. Im willing to drive approx 200-300 miles to meet someone if they want to buy the car. Thank you!
