'74 VW Super Beetle
Unfortunately, I'm going to have to part with one of my projects. I'm starting a new job next week and know that I won't have time to finish it out, so I'm going to cut my losses and try to get it out of the way.
The car is black with a body that is in pretty good shape, it does have a motor and transmission in it, but has no glass or interior in it (I have both for it except a windshield, I busted the new one I bought for it).
Here's a partial list of what comes with it:
1835cc big bore motor w/less than 3k. Professional built.
Pretty decent size cam.
New dual Weber 40mm carbs w/hex bar linkage.
All new chrome on engine, all red trim.
New coil, distributor, plugs, wires, ect.
All glass except windshield.
New carpet, headliner, kickpanels
Fresh recovered seats (have cover for drivers, not on seat).
Good heater boxes, new heater ducts.
Brand new battery.
New fuel lines and elec. fuel pump.
New stainless running boards.
New Body Rubber.
The motor and transmission was in a baja bug that I had but sold as a roller, ran very strong in a body that is heavier than this would be. This car would make a great project for someone, just needs some time invested in it. The shortblock was over $2000 and the carbs and linkage were about $700 if I remember correctly, so with heads, manifolds, chrome, alternator, carbs, ect. This would be pretty pricey to build.
I'm asking $2500 for everything VW I have. If anyone has any questions PM me for a phone number. I might consider some trades, depending on what it is. I don't have any way to haul the car anywhere, so it can be picked up only.
