Default 1999 FRC Corvette - Price Reduced! Pictures

Car HAS to go

99 FRC Balck on Black M6 50k miles (odometer potentially incorrect)

HUD
Donaldson Blackwing
Z06 brakes
Balcked out lights
Z06 air ducts
Built rearend with 3.90s, hardened shafts, pinion shaft support, treated gears.
RPM transmission
DTE Brace
Textralia clutch
Hurst short throw shifter

Previous owner stated that it was hit in the front passenger side. Everything was repaired. Fender and control arm was replaced. HUD was added later on. He installed the HUD. I guess he got a new cluster, which would have required the mileage in the cluster to be reset. This is what I was told. 2nd gear grinds every 10th shift or so. Replacing syncro should fix the problem. Cheap fix. This being said, Im not asking much for the car. Im asking for 17,000 as the car sits. Just got a house and need the money. The only difference is that it now has chrome wagon wheels on it. The passenger a-pillar also has a small rip in it, theres still doorbar mounts in it and a small tear on the very bottom of the bumper on the passenger side. Drveline cost me around 5k in parts alone. Only the best used.

you said the mileage was reset. does this mean the mileage displayed is not actual? what does it read?

Located in Tempe, AZ. The mileage stated is what the odometer shows. Previous owner said they added the heads up display which apparently does something with the odometer. This is all I know. Mileage could be higher.

The mileage info is stored on the PCM and not in the cluster itself, so the mileage is most likely correct. Run a CARFAX to check the history and this should tell you the story.

Sounds like a killer deal!!

It is a killer deal. I bought the car for 23k a little over a year ago. Taking a big hit on this car.

Not.

When you install HUD into a non HUD car, it sometimes requires a new cluster.

If that cluster is not reprogrammed for the car it is going into, it is going to display the mileage from the car it was last on. This is what happened in this situation - JetVette told me that the last owner installed the HUD but hadn't changed to the correct mileage of the car it was going on.

Jet I am not trying to screw up your sale, just trying to help you be honest, I know I explained the HUD/cluster to you before.

Odometer reads almost 50k but as I stated the HUD was installed and I believe a new cluster was added.

best bet is to run a carfax and see how many miles the car had on it when the previous owner purchased it. atleast it will give you an idea of how many miles it has.

i'm assuming the title states the mileage is inaccurate?

People, if youre intersted just run a carfax on this car. The car already had about 40-50K miles 4 years ago and this guy put on about 30K miles since he bought it.

You know why you still havent sold this car after so many months, because you keep being dishonest about this crap and people then are afraid to buy it because if youre telling half truths about one thing then who knows what else youre half truthing about. This is a decent looking car and a great price, you should have sold it a long time ago already but you keep shooting yourself in the foot with the stuff youre pulling.

Once again you come into my thread. I assume you are probly 16-17 years old by the was you act. I am stating EVERYTHING I know about the car based on what the previous owner has told me. The HUD was added therefore affecting the odometer. How much? I am unsure as all this was done prior to me purchasing the vehicle. Id greatly appreciate it if you would grow up a little and act a little more mature. This annoyance is really getting to me.

Remember about 6 months ago when you were selling your car on ebay and a guy was going to fly in and buy it, that was me. I remember asking you specifically if you had a carfax on it and if its clean, you said "yes I do but I cant find it right now but I guarantee you its 100% clean". I wanted to make sure myself before buying a airline ticket so when I got off the phone with you I ran the carfax and found out all the little dirty details. So you lied to me and then acted stupid like this was all news to you, why did you tell me the carfax was 100%? Youre a little conartist, that is all.

It is not a salvage title if thats what u mean. When you ran the carfax, thats when I found out about the history of the car. I have never previously ran a carfax on the car. I bought from a "reliable source" and obviously I was in the same boat that you thought you were in. If anyone here should be pissed it should be me as Im taking a huge hit on this car. I bought it for 23k. I understand that everyone loses money on a car but 6-7k in the time Ive owned it is rediculous, especially after dumping 6k into the driveline. If I knew all the history on the car when I bought it, do you think I would have paid that money for it? I dont think so.
