2002 Carl Black Blackbird Year One edition Trans AM. 2002 Carl Black Blackbird Year One edition Trans AM.
In 2002 GMMG produced 50 standard Blackbirds, 19 Anniversary Blackbirds and just 8 Year One edition Blackbirds.
The PR-1 on the windshield is GMMGs number. It is the prototype of the other coupes built. All were identical. It has level performance package 380HP. This is the car used to promote the 8 cars to be built. It was entered and displayed in the 2002 and 2005 Hot Rod tour. It was also the one used by Year One in the shows and is in the pics of several advertisements. I have the mag ad with the car in it. It has only 7000 miles. And is perfect cosmetically, etc. Of all late model T/A's th Blackbird by GMMG is one to get if ou only get one. I have had several Firehawks from SLP and the Blackbird is way above in every area. Everything from the looks and sound to performance. All paperwork window sticker, GMMG papers, etc.
We all know Pontiac failed miserably by not making a commemorative to the 10th Anniversary T/A. I cant support it anywhere but after getting this car my son pointed out to me that it looks like GMMG and Year one attempted to do it with this car. All the Year ones are silver with a charcoal wing, rear bumper insert and graphics. I think the car would look awesome in a collection sitting next to a very low mile 4spd 10th.

I love them. These cars are awesome. I love driving them and having something different. It keeps me going.
I am always looking for another so dont hesitate to ask if I want another low mileage fbody.
