Interested in trading for a motorcycle?? I have a 2006 GSXR 1000 that I might be interested in trading for your truck.

i don't know if the light hit it wrong or what, but the interior is in really good shape. there is the one stain just below the shifter and the steering wheel is worn a bit. aside from that it is perfect.

What kind of power #'s did it put down? I'm sure it sounds awesome with that big cam, and is a blast to drive.

Well I bought the truck last night. Trailered it home from Tenn. and unloaded it this afternoon and took it up the road and made it about 4 miles and the motor is making one hell of a noise. I believe its a rod or main bearing. So anyone else that was interested just be glad you didnt buy it. I felt like getting sick to pay that money and get something with a bad motor.

man i swear to you this makes me as sick as it does you. i got that motor less than 2 months ago and it was said to have 47k miles. i paid top dollar for it just because i was going to have this truck for a daily driver.

i'm terribly sorry this happened. let me know what it is so i can get with the company i got the motor from and see what they have to say. just make sure it isn't something valve train related. i've seen big cams hurt parts before, like lifters and rocker arms and stuff.

No I didnt. If it was doing it then it was very quiet. It really sucks. After it started making the noise I got out and checked the oil and it was about 2 quarts low.

Yeah were going to pull the valve covers and all tomorow to check the obvious things before we pull the motor, but it sounds pretty bad. Its a pretty loud screaching noise. I will let you know what we figure out. I might need some parts, and I might let you see what you can get them for through your company you work for. Anyways it really sucks and I hate to have to spend this much more money on the truck, but I guess it comes with buying something used, you never know what youre going to get.

Sounds like a valvetrain problem to me also especially with the oil being low (it probably was burnt off in the wake of a bad valve).

I added the 2 quarts and the oil pressure went back up. It dropped to around 40lbs running down the road and around 30lbs idleing. At this point Im hoping it would be something small in the top end.

Drained the oil this afternoon, and it does have metal shavings in it, so Im guessing its a rod bearing. Dustin you said the swap only had around 1200 to 1500 miles on it, and I know you put fresh oil in it when you swapped it or should have but this oil looks like its 10K miles old?? Im so pissed right now I cant believe this happened. Anyone want to donate a running motor for this pile of ****????

I might consider buying it if you wanted to unload it.

Im debating on selling or trading the truck if anyone is still interested. I am picking the FRESH motor up tomorrow from the shop. It should be back in and running by the weekend. So if anyone is interested I will take my losses now. I will be firm @ $8500 for the truck. Let me know...thanks guys!
