I have an 01 WS6 with the following mods. You can check the car out on www.fquick.com/my01ws6. I use all top of the line parts and do the maintenance religiously. The car has about 68k miles on it but the motor has 32k. The motor was replaced under GM Factory Warranty cause a piston ring broke and tore up the cylinder. Sooo They replaced it with a BRAND NEW Long Block. The car is babied and is stored in a garage under a car cover until the weather is nice.

Soon to be blacked out tailights.

De-badged the car (Still have the original stuff)
Fresh coat of BLACK paint - Less than 300 miles on the new paint
T-top panel was replaced cause of bubbling issue.

Well I took it to carmax yesterday and they offered $16.2. They said it looked as if it had just rolled off the showroom floor only nicer.

Yeah Im not sure if they will only buy the vehicle if I buy a car from them though. Thats the problem.

Im not looking to get another vehicle right now, just trying to get out of some debt.

You should already be telling us Carmax bought it, no way you should turn down that offer or wait for more. I think they mis-quoted you.

I heard Carmax will buy your car, but they only paid wholesale. I'm guessing they meant $6200, not $16200.

Yeah thats what im thinking. Maybe they fucked up with the paperwork or something I dont think it would matter though if thats what they printed out on my agreement. Im going up there tomorrow.

And just to clear something up, I wasn't implying your car was only worth $6200, just stating that was closer to the amount a dealer would offer to lowball you and maximize their profit.

Well I went there to try to sell the car and they wouldn't honor the appraisal. They said the person who wrote the appraisal wasn't qualified to even appraise the vehicle. They came back with and offer that was just disgraceful to me. So needless to say I still have the car. I did also take it to another dealership where I test drove an 05 sti and made me a decent offer but I think I can sell it for more than what they offered.
