Can you give me a rundown of the faceplated trans? Do 5th and 6th still have synchros? How are its street manners? I'm assuming it's pretty notchy/clunky if you were wanting to drive it a lot for errands or just crusing around?

Also did you do any of the upgrades like having it mikronited etc?

5th and 6th are synchro'd yes, i know they changed the shift forks and replaced the gears, I dont know if they mikronited it or not. As far as driving goes. this car was my daily driver in the summer and the only reason i dont drive it now is because i'm selling it to buy a 25 foot boat. it took about 100 miles to learn the tricks but believe me i love it, down shifting is easy, no clutching needed you just have to watch your mph to know which gear to put it in and there wont be any clunk, its a bit easier on the up shifting, it doesnt matter your speed, you just have to kind of pause a tad when you go from out of a gear to into the next when shifting.the best part is the amount of wear and tear on the clutch that isnt happening when normal driving, which equals saving money .they do recommend using the clutch when race shifting however to take shock off the face plates(still no klunk). even tho the guy told me the trans was bulletproof and you could get away with not using it.
