2001 Formula - $6500 I bought this car at the beginning of August from a dealer in Tampa, FL. I've gotten into a bind and need to sell it ASAP. I paid $6700 for the car and all I've done is drive it home (approx 1300 miles...took it to Key West and then back here) and to and from work this week.
2001 Firebird Formula
Red w/gray cloth interior. Interior is absolutely flawless. No rips or tears.
LS1 engine and 6-speed transmission. 115,xxx miles.
T-tops
Monsoon stereo
Aftermarket exhaust (unsure of brand)
The good: The car runs VERY strong for a stock LS1 car. The t-tops don't leak. The interior is near perfect.
The not so good: The synchronizers need replaced in 4th and 5th gears. I drove home without them and still averaged 28.8 mpg. I've been driving around town going from 3rd to 6th and still seem to be getting around 18-19 mpg. There is also a place above the driver's rear wheel where the clearcoat is coming off the quarter panel. I'm not sure if it's still early enough that it can be sanded out or not. There is also a gouge where it looks like someone backed next to a pole just above the bumper behind the rear driver's side wheel. I've got a friend that works at a body shop that said he will fix and paint the 1/4 panel and the front bumper for $800 if anyone would like that done before the car is picked up.
Need to sell ASAP, but WILL NOT take less than $6200. Also, I cannot trade at this time.
