2004 Pontiac GTO under 20,00 miles. $9,950
2004 Pontiac GTO
automatic transmission
torrid red
19,5XX miles
interior in great shape; never smoked or eaten in, back seat used only 2 times since I bought the vehicle.
Engine and transmission in excellent shape. Never abused, oil change every 3,000 miles with Mobil 1. Never raced, never taken to the drag strip or modified.
Just passed New York inspection, so you don't need a new inspection until October 2009 in NY State.
Car has the 5.7 liter 350 horsepower LS1 engine. Very light mods: K&N Cold Air Intake, Diablo Predator Handheld Tuner and Plug Cables from the Corvette Z06 (the previous owner had these lying around and kindly put them on instead of the stock cables).
Will sell the car for $9,950. Reason it is so cheap is that the vehicle has a rebuilt title as it was in an accident before I bought it. It was professionally fixed where only the nose was replaced. The job was done in Ohio (was a Ohio car before) by Steve from Ohio Pick a Part Inc. They performed an excellent job and the car tracks wonderfully. It is extremely stable under acceleration, braking and cornering. Steering is wonderfully tight and solid. If you'd like, I even have pictures right after the accident, so you can see what exactly was hit and consequently changed... (only got printed versions though, no digital pics)
The only visual problem is the front bumper where there are some scratches from my idiot neighbor who backed into me a few times (definitely not a dent, just very small scratches) and one of the grilles is slightly cracked. I am referring to the kidney shaped plastic grilles in front of the GTOs. I was quoted a price of $45 for this by a junk yard, but never had a chance to get it. You do not have to change the bumper, but you can if you wish to end up with a visually perfect car..
I have recently lost my job and need to get into a cheaper vehicle. I would never have sold this car for this much. This was going to be a babied car intended to last for at least 150,000 miles. I have taken crazy good care of every moving part. I have never driven a single mile beyond 3,000 miles between oil changes and have changed oil (and oil filter) using only Mobil 1. Never put the car in "P" without pulling the handbrake first to avoid stressing the transmission. Not once has the car seen over 3,500 revs until the engine temperature got up to its usual position on the dial and stopped moving up. Last winter the car was stored in Long Island, NY with wheels removed and up on supports in a temperature controlled garage. Every time I changed the oil, I also removed the K&N Filter and cleaned it with the K&N filter cleaning kit to ensure proper breathing for the engine.
The car has never seen any kind of racing and no one other than myself drove it since I purchased it. The engine and transmission are practically brand new. I bought the vehicle when it had 14,500 miles on it and bringing it back from Ohio put another 500 on the clock. So all in all I drove the car for a mere 4,500 since I got it in Sep 2007. These include several day trips, so the city usage is around 700 miles or so.
The exterior does have some minor scratches and dings as I explained, simply because I didn't want to fix those and see another neighbor or a New York Cab driver do the same. Was going to take care of those after buying a house and having my own garage in 2009, but gooood luck getting a mortgage now -anyways that's another story...
Call me at 646 645 6900 too see the car in New York -can meet in Queens or Manhattan. I live in Astoria...

Nice to see you take care of it, Unfortunatly Steve passed away shortly after the sale of the car, and with me being his nephew Im halfway tempted to buy it back in honor of him.

interested in a trade???

the car just had fresh Tein SS coilovers installed. Runs and drives great, just needs a complete dyno tune to get running and reach its fullest potential.
