Default 1986 Chevrolet Silverado show truck 425 hp LT1!

1986 Chevrolet C-10 pickup

This truck has been in my family since new. It was bought new by my grandpa at Jody Wynne Chevrolet in Marked Tree Arkansas. It has 80,000 miles showing on the odometer but of course the drive train is all brand new stuff.

Cold A/C, overdrive transmission, power steering, power brakes, power windows, power locks, cruise control, keyless entry, …425 fuel injected hp. What more could you ask for!?
Over $ 26,500 invested!!! (have receipts)

• 1995 LT1 stock 25,000 mile short block, with all new gaskets and seals, new GM water pump, new MSD distributor, new Cloyes HD timing set, new MSD 6A box, MSD ignition coil, Comp Cams Pro-Magnum roller rockers, Comp Cams 268 XFI camshaft, 218 /224, 570/565, new Comp Cams Hi-Tech pushrods, new Comp Cams lifters, new Trick Flow heads done by Marion Performance (mild porting, angle milled for 11 to 1 compression), port matched intake, new TPiS 58mm throttle body, new flow matched and balanced FMS 36lb injectors done by Cruzin Performance, Zex high flow fuel pump.

Total Cost for parts and machine work- $ 6850

• Street and Performance (S & P) wiring harness, S & P ceramic coated headers, S & P header and copper collector gaskets, S & P plug wires and polished wire separators, S & P aluminum water neck, S & P polished rocker covers, S & P polished air cleaner. $ 1950

• Rear end was built by David Page of Page Brothers Performance. Yukon Gear 3.90 gears, with Yukon posi. $ 1200

• Transmission is a BTE street and strip 700R4, with BTE valve body, large BTE trans cooler, BTE deep aluminum pan, and a 2600 stall. Less than 1000 miles on the tranny. $ 2000

• New Be Cool aluminum radiator w/ Perma Cool electric fan, New AC compressor, drier, lines. New Bower’s Hot Rod Shop powder coated AC compressor relocation bracket. $ 950

• Western Chassis 2/4 drop kit. New Vanish bed cover, new Lund bed and tailgate mat $ 800

• Paint and body work was done professionally by a local shop, new GM trim parts all the way around the truck with the exception of the tailgate panel which is original and just needs to be polished out. $ 4500

• Interior features new dash pad from Classic Industries and a top notch sound system. The JVC CD / MP3 player features an iPod controller that is in the glove box. Brand new high end Eclipse coaxial speakers (4 x 6’s in the front, 4 X 10’s in the back), 8”, 200 watt powered Bazooka bass tube behind the seat.

• Audiovox Keyless Entry with Alarm, new Optima red top battery, HD 200 amp alternator, Powermaster high torque mini-starter $ 650

• Tires- Less than 6000 miles on the BF Goodrich radial T/A’s. 255/60/15’s on the front with 275/60/15’s on the back. I also have a set of M/T ET Drag slicks mounted on Chevy wheels that I will include if my asking price is met.

That's cool, and I can tell there is a lot of money and time into it, but I wouldn't call that a "show truck."

Ok, true enough, it really is more "go" than "show," but I wasn't trying to mislead anybody intentionally. It is what it is.
