95 z28 w/ goodies Phoenix AZ - run 12s cheap
Ok guys - 1995 Z28 with about 134k miles on it. I bought this car off of a lady I work with, and it was her daily driver. My buddy and I wanted to build a track car, but I am having trouble getting him to help spend any money on it, so we are thinking about letting it go. We put maybe 10-12 passes on her at the local strip.
This car is about 1000$ away from running in the 12s consistently.
Here are the details:
Car is Red, t-tops, auto, lt1. The body is pretty good, with the exception of the front air-dam which has alot of rock chips, and a couple of cracks. Interior is pretty good, no major problems - I think the console lid hinges need to be replaced, thats about it.
LT1 had the following done to it after we bought it:
- Intake oil leak fixed
- All seals in the front of the motor replaced (front main, opti, etc)
- New Opti cap and rotor (MSD)
- MSD Blaster coil (not installed yet)
- New Plug wires
- New Plugs
- Electric H20 pump installed.
- SLP CAI Installed.
Suspension:
- New Monroe shocks all around
- UMI LCAs
- UMI LCA Relo brackets
- UMI Sub Frame Connectors
Other:
- 16 inch DRs (goodyear I think) with 6 passes on them, riding on stock rims.
- Fuddle 3k torque converter.
- PCM for Less tune with Laptop cable - this has NOT been installed.
Car runs mid-high 13s as it sits, without the tune. The tune should put it in the solid mid-low 13s, and then you are a cam or bottle away from running 12s all day long. The car runs great, no issues at higher RPMs or anything. Also, with the converter, this think hits like a freight train at freeway speeds.
A/C compressor was replaced by previous owner right before we bought it, but there is supposedly a leak in the system, which we never tracked down.
Here is the deal - 4k for the car as it sits.
or
3400$ for the car minus the LCAs, SFCs, ReloBrackets, and DRs. I have a couple of pirellis or somehting that can go back on the car. Not great, but they have some tread left.
Where else are you going to find a car that will run in the 12s for under 5k?
Im working on pics - PM me and I will get back to you asap.
Thanks!
