Eh I don't buy that he was 100% in it. Shane, Grey03Cobra was pushing well north of 600rwhp with his whippled Cobra (before the turbo) and lost to a pretty much stock Z06 a good while back while he was still living in Vegas. So I'm guessing he was just playing around or just not in the lowest gear he could've been in.

The newb in the ZR1 most likely didn't think your car was worth his time so he probably didn't even downshift. Way to show him up though!

My bet is you did beat him. He probably just didn't downshift thinking its just a cobra. The next story that comes up though is going to be like this "So I ran this ZR1 today, I got RAAAAAPED!" because the guy is not going to think twice and downshift to hell and smash on someone.
Man you guys sure are DB's, he didn't say it was or all Chevy products are **** heaps. He said he ran a guy and that was it, **** happens on the street. Driver error or lack of driving skills is the reason most races are lost.
**** I raced an SRT-10 Viper through 3 gears (he wouldn't launch and then tried to jump me from behind) and he pulled a car on me. My car was stock motor bolt on with 4.10's, nothing special. He was all happy and I told him that was sorry since my car only made 338 to the wheels. I don't think my car is that fast and probably couldn't beat another one that had a competent driver. But I still won!

Good one! I think the zr1 driver was scarred to even down shift being a $100,000 car! I know I would! he might of had it in 5th gear or 6th lolMy buddy at work has a 03 convertable kenne belle cobra with all the upgrades and tuned by some mustang shop in rancho called GT motorsports ans says he put down about 600rwhp on 91 octane. I didn't say that I doubt he put a half car on the ZR1 either, I simply was stating that both cars driven to full potential would have yeilded a much different outcome.

The next person to race a ZR1 Vette better have a video camera with them or BS is all that we will say. This is the 2nd I beat a ZR1 thread in a week. Im in the middle because yes anything can happen in a race and the person that is in another car has a differents view.
