Cool Took the day off to play with my car

I started the day off by getting my car dyno tuned by Ryan (Cunningham Motorsports) and am very happy with the results. Then I headed over to the tire shop to have my new Weld Racing BC-19 wheels installed. Here are a couple pictures of the wheels. More pictures once I wash the car (darn rain).

The car has a SLP lid, K&N filter, SLP MAF, smooth bellow, BBK 85mm throttle body, and flowmaster muffler (which they said was actually holding it back a bit). You could tell right away, and it shifts so much better.

I had a baseline of 312 horsepower at the rear wheels, and left with 325 horsepower. Though the numbers seem kind of small, the car runs a lot quicker & smoother.

It's not about the peak numbers anyways, it's about what's under the curve. Sounds like a great day though! Now start saving for that cam and headers for another 50 rwhp!

I wonder how I got my numbers. Hmmm I might have a mild factory freak I take it.

wow, you spent some money today. i will assume you have an A4 based on your numbers. those are about on par for those mods. they do say that the flowmaster is a bit restricting on the LS motors.

ConElite, how is that a factory freak? the m6 cars tend to start off with more power than the a4.

I said mild Factory Freak! HA HA HA HA HA

Simply bc its an stock '00 LS1. It does not have the benefits of LS6 manifold and No Smog pump.

Maybe I talked to soon. Didnt mean to offend anyone.

oh and the ls6 manifold doesnt help in the 01-02 since we got the crappy cam. the gains are offset.

Completely disagree with that statement.

01-02 cars dyno way higher than others.

I made 354whp, Luke made 340whp, Gilbert made 370whp (longtubes).

Thought so. The LS6 with the EG/Air system dyno higher than 98-00 models.

exactly.

i trap at 107.9 and dyno at 328hp, yet i have the ls6 intake and 5.3L cam. gil traps at 108 with similar mods (considering m6 vs a4).

Krazy4, yours was a factory freak, and an M6 which tends to have higher numbers anyway, same as luke. now the torque, that could vary, but i still say its offset on average.
