Default Feelings about the Election

Those previous posts are all a bunch of garbage. All it looks like is a bunch of racism coming from all diffrent directions. I dont know what the future holds. The fact is nobody knows. I dont belive either one of the presidental canidates were the right choice for more reasons than just race. Fact is Obama is half White and Mccain is Half dead. I feel that of the two Obama is the better canadite. Im not a democrat ot a republican and quite frankly myself and most of the ppl on this forum arent even old enough or mature enough to understand politics. I see this in so Many ways being a good thing but also in alot of ways a bad thing. History has been made and an African American is going to be in the white house. Theres alot of rumors about his win not being legit and blah blah blah some of this is belivable but is it true? i dont know upon investigation i guess we will find out. I am however a little dissappointed about some of these voters as are many of my friends back east. Most being African American. Many African American people voted for Obama because he is African American and were more into it to make history then to actually be the better president. and i think alot of people vice versa voted for mccain because they just couldnt ponder the fact of having a black president. i think this election was more voted upon to make history than to make better of things. If everything was 100% legit and people actually followed these things i still belive obama would win but it def. would not be as significant of a diffrence as it was. The Obama campaign targeted everyone Black White Hispanic Asian Gays etc etc. While Mccains pretty much only targeted Conservitive republicans. Alot of things still dont make sense to me about whats going on.I am also confused about his speach from last night and some of the things he said.. But with that being said I do belive he is going to be a good president and i also do belive he may be our last, since the end of the world is said to be dec 21 2012. Our new President is Barrack Obama... and no matter who i voted for i will support our new president of the USA Mr. Barrack Obama

I'm tired of being raped in favor of multi-millionaire CEO's who rake in cash as they cut middle class jobs, then get favors and saves from our government. I'm tired of being forgotten. I'm tired of seeing good people out of work, ordinary people losing their ability to sustain their life, lack of adequate & affordable healthcare, and people losing faith in their government and country.

My vote for Obama was not a vote for a black President, it was a vote for hope, change, and something different b/c especially these last 4 years have brought this country into the *******.

For these last 8 years the most important part of this country has been forgotten: the people.

Said it before: voting for Obama because he is black is just as racist as not voting for him because he is black.

One day we will stop classifying people by race and just call us all "Americans". Race is just a divide-and-conquer method to keep the middle class from uniting.

I don't think either candidate was the correct person for the job. You have to look at the last 95 years of u.s. history to get a good picture of who/what really runs the country/world and where we are going.

The bottom line is this: The most controllable person was given the job.

I really hope this guy is not the socialist he appears to be.

My dislike of Obama, first off ended last night. Do i "like" him now? no, but he will be out president and ive come to terms with it.

but my dislike had nothing to do with race. while osme may think im a KKK member, they are as ignorant as ive ever seen.

fact is, Obama is new in the political world, and nobody knows what to expect with him. he has some questionalbe friends, and therefore questionable motives.

+1 on the new cycle, I heard there will be more piece after 2012. And having a black president is a start since there has been so much racism in this country for hundreds of years.

And maybe one day an illegal Mexican will walk up to the border and be welcomed to USA, Instead of jumping or swimming over the border, being chased by dogs while immigration shouts "WELCOME TO THE U.S AMIGO" lol

I'll support him, not my first choice (probably last choice), neither was Mccain though. I just hope nothing seriously bad happens.. lets not forget we have been safe for the last 7 years either.

to defend my last post.hey, Dave made a comment as a joke,

"maybe now our country will get so bad even the illegals will evacuate"

well I responded to him in a joking matter. I feel strongly about my heritage and for someone to make a dick comment about illegals(mexicans) like that. I'm just not going to stand for it.I do understand that this country has to have a border otherwise it would be overpopulated, but for someone to make a dick post like he did is uncalled for. maybe i should have ps his face,(i do apologize for that)but I'm not going to let someone put down my race. Someone down the line in my family was illegal as well as yours and everyone else's here.i apologize if i offended anyone.I have friends from all backgrounds you never hear me making stupid statements about where they come from and what not.

theres no such thing as an illegal Mexican, thats one of the most racist things ive ever heard.

ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS have every opportunity to be welcomed over here with open arms, its called going through the proper legal process, like my grandparents did, and just about everyones ancestors did. Mexico doesnt even tolerate illegal immigration, (nor does teh rest of the world) why should we?

but no worries, we will now that Obama is in.

oh, and Luis, one of my best friends comes from a family who migrated here illegally, and on top of that, my roommate is Mexican. To assume that i was referring to only Mexicans is ignorant on your part.

so when you made your joke comment about illegals leaving the country you were also talking about your friend and your roommate?

totally agree about coming to the US through the proper legal process...but we also have to admit that the US is at fault for all the undocumented immigrants in this country. First, border patrol had been non-existent until the last couple of years and second, the US gov. has not offered a solution to fix the broken immigration system...making it virtually impossible for someone to migrate here legally...or legalize the undocumented already here for that matter.

I can tell you're an Angry individual so I'll just be blunt.

The Job of the President of the United States isn't to provide you with a Job or Health Care. Society desides that. Individualism is key to being called an American. You determine your destiny not the Government. They will only hold you back. The Government in general is to blame and that is with both parties. President Bush was great in his first term and in his second, he lost track and lost his people.

Many people did vote for Obama because he was Black and that is a sad thought. MLK said' Judge not by the color of their skin but by the content of their Character". I believe that and hold that dear. Obamas character is horrible because of the people that he associates with and by the things that he says. McCain was better in that count. I didn't vote for McCain in the Primaries because I new he wouldn't pull the younger votes in. McCain is a Great American and has don't so much for America.

I agree with you on the Race issue. Im in the Military and have been for the last 13+ years. I get irritated when people claim association to a certain culture they know nothing about; ie "German American, African American, Italian America, etc, etc, etc..." I am an American first and do not claim anything else. I've been over seas and I know it would be stupid to say such things. When I have to fill out paper work and it ask for Ethnic Race, I put American under it. America is a Culture and we should cut the Race crap out of it. I think we're the only country that does claim that.
