It wouldn't be slander if the person's claims were true and had proof, but since neither is the case you may be able to do something about it in small claims. I am not 100% sure though, but it may be something to look in to if the person continues to attack your business in an attempt to lure away your clientele. Good luck!

and watch some backstabber get a whoopin, but really it's just not worth the possible repercussions. I asked a viable source though... the legal action would be possible if you could prove that this mystery person was out to damage your business. If you really wanted to get this person back badly enough, the legal route would be better than beating... although I know 
not as fun. Agreed...whoever the culprit is I really don't think a beating is the greatest route to take. However much you might want to punch their lights out, it could be much more trouble than it's worth. Yes it might be nice to sit back and watch some backstabber get a whoopin, but really it's just not worth the possible repercussions.
