with that setup you should be close to the 4's i imagine btw that isnt a sleeper cam, that **** will pass smog but it wont pass anything else, people will now, either do the mti stealth cam or step up and get a bigger cam to put you in the 430 range

Yeah its ok the people I race around town won't know anything lol, I just don't want headers, I like it when we pop hoods and they are like wtf your on stock manifolds, I have the egr ls6 manifold so they can tell difference from stock also. They always look for "nos" as they say lol. I just want a good low 12 maybe high 11 car n/a. Hopefully with this setup I can get close to that, if it comes to it and I am still not there than I will have to be a n20 car, small shot though 75 max 100, I just don't want to go that route because I will no longer be n/a.

Well I am making this decision by the experience I have with this cam, I am not running headers so you won't her the lope as much, also my tuner can take care of that setting the idle. I had a 99 ws6 with gutted cats an ory with a lm1 and sounded like there was a 228 in there lol, also my cuzin has this cam and its not that bad I just love the almost perfect power curve this cam can provide. Also there is a couple guys here that have the same cam and it sounds pretty close to stock at idle, I guess it all depends on your exhaust setup and tune. But 400 hp would be sex.

Well it's not gonna be seeing its full potential since your on stock manifolds. Someone that knows cars will hear the cam. I don't think you'll hit 11's with that set up n.a.

That's what I was just going to say. And if you're swapping heads, the manifolds have to be unbolted anyway, might as well go with some LT's.

and then put on the stock manifold heatshields and make them look rusty and no one will know!

moe this is a with all due respect comment. but... arent you running pacesetters?

and their is tons of hp left on the table with any cam and head swap, first its the manifolds then the intake, then the tb then the fuel system then the list goes on and on and on... just for this guys purpose i would say if he chooses a decent cam like a 233/238 on a 112 +2 the lope will be similar to a 224/228 with a 114. he will be close to 430 mark cam only and with the 243's. keep your stock manifolds until your ready to buy a nice set such as arh, edelbrocks or kooks. and there are cam only cars in the 10's its just your definition of cam only, if he can drive and gets a good setup there is no reason he wont be trapping 114 maybe 115. with that mph he may touch an 11.

Simple fact of the matter is that you WILL regret not doing headers now if you plan to do so in the future.

I'm full bolt ons except an under-drive pulley in the garage that needs to go on. I'm not sure where this is going?

As far as I understood it, it was safer because with a wet kit, fuel is added with the nitrous which doesn't max out your injectors and is better regulated so that you have less of a chance of going lean and blowing something.
