I don't have time tomorrow, but I do have a 3-jaw puller if you need to use one. I have done H/C at least 15-20 times on LS cars. I used to change H/C combo's on my drag car like most people change radio stations. If you have questions, let me know. Shoot me a pm if you need to puller.

Ben

If I wasn't already installing a cam tomorrow, I'd come and lend a hand. Bad timing.

the job is done took us 14 hours. 2 trips 2 autozone and one trip to jack in the box. biggest PITA was removing and installing the harmonic balancer. car sounds great just enough of a lope to let you know it has a cam but nothing that will attract to much attention.

That first time the bolt and balancer come off, your right, it sucks!!! It will be easier now.

probably a dumb question but would the h/c install throw off my tranny shift points and torque converter lockup?

if you make more power, yeah it will slip a little more and throw off the shift points. just throwing on an LS6 intake caused me to hit the rev limiter, so i had to drop my shift mph a little - but that was because it was an SRJ LS6 intake.

your misfire tables were probably desensitized for the converter, but may need a little more adjustment for the cam so that it doesn't cause the lockup to disengage.

i'm sure cms will be able to take care of it for you.
