I need to take a head to get bolts out.

What kind of bolts? Exhaust manifold bolts, your best bet would probably be a machine shop because they are usually in there good, intake manifold bolts and others, however, you can remove it easily with a drill and an extractor.

it is the exhaust manifold bolts, and I'm hesitating to drill them out myself because they are aluminum heads.

where is a good machine shop near HB?

I drilled one of those bolts out no problem, it was the extracting part that didn't quite work out. Broke my extractor bit and just decided to screw it and go with running 5 bolts. No leaks so far. But if the heads are off, I would have taken it somewhere to get it removed. Don't know of a place near you though.
