Default need! please read!!!

need help finding a part!

i am looking for the fender mounting bracket (drivers side) for a 98-02 camaro. this is the small plate mounted (rivited) to the front of the fender to hold it to the body, right behind the headlight assembly.

the dealer only sells them with the fender and i have searched all the local junkyards for a fender. no catfish cars, all lt1 front ends.

so if anyone has this piece, off a broken or crashed fender? please let me know.

thxs jeff

I think they have to sell them seperatley because when I bought my new fenders they didnt come with any brackets, I had to transfer the brackets from my 93-97 fenders.

Is this drawing any help?

the 93-97 do not have them, just the bracket behind the mirror that you transfer.

the 98-02 have a bracket in the front, that acts as a filler panel and a mounting tab.

thats the same pics i had at the dealer, and they don't show the bracket as seperate.

if it's the part im thinking of, just go to the hardware store and some of those shelf brackets you will probably be able to find one that fits, if not a little cutting and your set.

If I don't have an extra one, I will check mine tonight and get the PN off of it. Most of these sheet metal parts have the PN stamped on them.

As for the rear fender bracket that I transferred over from my 94 fender, you were correct, but neither bracket came on my GM fenders when they were purchased, so they have to be a purchasable part.

You are talking about this piece, circled in red, correct?

That didn't come on my GM fenders when I bought them.

I couldnt see the PN as it sits right now, so I will check on my 94 tonight. I think I can get to the part. I remember seeing a PN on it, because I was thinking that I would need to order them for my 94 to LS1 conversion.

I couldn't find my extra one that I have somewhere, nor did I have time to look at the on mounted to my 94. I'll try again tonight unless someone beats me to it.
