Street racing ticket
Street racing ticket Anyone know a good lawyer? Got a ticket lastnight for street racing when I really wasnt. Some guy was on my *** for like 5 minutes and so I gunned it and he got over and gunned it. Next thing ya know a cop comes from behind us and pulls us both over. He said I was doin 70 in a 50 I seriously doubt that cause there was no radar. Anyone have any suggestions? 
Man i had this happen to me... but it was me and my buddy we where actually racing and we got pulled over..(by the way he has an old 89 chevy 1500 single cab a rust buket id say) and me in my ws6 we where jus messing around ... ok anyways we get busted we both get pull over... cop say his usall bs... in tha end i go to jail and my frnd dosent so i get mad and start bitching at tha cop(big mistake)lol he thows me on my car and im hauld off to jail... i get out jail tha next moring on bail... i have my court date i go and tha lady like u got a ticket for street racing(oh its considerd a class b misterminer wht ever that is but its pretty bad i guess) and she "says wht happend to the other guy" i was like they let him go... she looked confused... so i made a big deal abought tha cop being rude and stuff and why they didnt take him blah blah jus beacuse my car looks fast hes gonna take me to jail... in tha end i got it dismisst and off my rec.. Soi would fight it u get a chance whn u go to court and talk to the person that tell u about ur ticket or case w/e it is.. they give u a chance to explain first well she did for me idk how its gonna b for you but i wouldnt get a lawyer so fast just wait till u actually go to court... tell her ur story and if tha cop was being rude to u in any way tell her...
P.s whn i was in tha cops office waiting to get transferd to county a cop(pretty young mid 20) says to me "Nice ws6 those 5.4 hual *** huh..." im like dumb *** in my head But i said "yeah sure do.....

From what I remember, the police officer gets paid to show up in court and win the case, but if you use Trial by Written Declaration, the officer does not get paid to write his statement, even if he wins the case. And in the 4 cases I have seen personally, the officer did not write a statement, and the ticket was dismissed, and you get a check in the mail in a week or so (because you still have to pay the bail amount before you can even request Trial by Written Declaration)
Aye speed contest are a pain in the ***. They are 2 points on your record and are considered a misdemeanor ticket, major violation. I got the same ticket when me and a guy next to me gunned it trying to get through a yellow light, cop pulled us over and said we were street racing. Judge ended up reducing the ticket to a minor trafic voilation but I still had the 2 points on my record.
