I havn't heard much feedback on there porting while TSP has tons of good feeback on there ported heads and there price can almost not be beat.

I like My texas speed (PRC) 243's. I got them for $950 complete with double springs. If you buy them yourself for say $300-400 and get them ported ($400+) and buy the double springs etc. you will spend more money and they wont be brand new and you never know how good there CNC job is gonna be until you get the flowed somewhere independent. JMO

I had my 243's independently flowed at 307 on the intake at .600 lift and am very happy with my purchase on this budget head

If your on a budget look to get some used PRC 243's in the classified section for cheap.

If you plan on making it more than a 4 inch bore or bigger get the l92s 350cfm out of the box for 650 bucks a pair is unbeatable.

I would add up what both sets of heads will cost completely done. If you are ok with the difference go aftermarket. Later down the road when you are tweaking your setup it will be one less thing to question/change.

What about the 5.3 heads from TSP? I heard those bump up the CR ratio more than the 243's??

243's are only 380-400 brand new from patriot performance brand new and you can add there .660 Gold Springs for $250... RPM in Santa Clarita has a bad *** CNC setup with 227CC intake runners that flow quite nicely 63CC Combustion chambers. Ive also heard good things about Richard@WCCH in the Valley

If your on more of a budget I have a local guy that can do them by hand for $700
