Default Dilemma...

As you can see from my recent thread, I hit a wooden post and dented my rear quarter panel badly:

Now the dilemma is this...

I just bought a full suspension:
-Spohn Chromemoly adj tunnel mount TA w/ safety loop
-UMI tubular adj poly/rod LCA
-UMI bolt-on relo brackets
-Spohn tubular adj poly/rod PHB
-BMR front and rear sway bars
-SLP 3-point bolt-on SFC's
-Hotchkis STB
-Koni shocks

Would you (1) put on the suspension parts and leave the rear quarter panel the way it is for the time being (probably a long while), OR (2) would you sell the suspension parts and get a new panel installed and painted???

You don't have to say sorry, lol, I know what it looks like. There is a chance that I can have my cake and eat it too. I have a friend who works at a body shop that owes me a favor. He said to bring it to his shop tomorrow morning and he'll give me a quote with a nice discount. We'll see what that means.

When I swerved to avoid the Corolla after it cut me off, I slide into some wet plants on a slight down hill embankment on the side of the off ramp. I couldn't move at all, tires just spun.
CHP showed up and called in a tow truck to pull me out. Took my statement. And took a statement of a witness who stopped to tell the police that I was driving recklessly and racing on the fwy. They said they were going to arrest me, because a CHP officer had me at 100+ earlier on the side of the freeway.

The cop was cool though. No arrest, no ticket, but we'll see what comes in the mail. He gave me a crash card, does that mean that the crash will already be reported to the DMV?
