Default Is it normal ???

My car was taken into the shop and it pulled 4 codes on check engine light. The p100 p1657 and 2 others all pin point to the engine sensor 20 amp in the fuse box in the engine. All the shop knows is that its an electrial problem ..... they spent hours on it trying to figure out whats wrong and nothing..... is it just me or is that not normal. If a wire is burnt out or if you know why all these codes are tied into 1 thing shouldnt you know what the problem is and be able to fix it...... Im just very frustrated right now so if you read this i appologize. Id love to hear some feed back on this. On top of the fact if any usefull infomation comes up id be glad to write it down and let the shop know.

Thanks !

I guess I'll be the first to answer and say "no, it's not normal".

Mine does the same thing, but just the CAGS code, and blows the engine sensor fuse, then has erratic idle, and wants to die when I come to a stop, etc. Didn't do it until I let SOMEONE ELSE do my headers and exhaust, frankly because I just didn't wanna mess with the headers. I have spent entirely too much money and time, trying everything that makes sense, stuff that doesnt make sense etc, and still does the same thing. If its a bad ground, they must have one hidden somewhere very well, because I sure can't find it. Ive been at it for almost a year, trying to get this problem fixed, working on it here and there when i have had the time and money. So, if you find out what it is causing the problem, let me know the fix. I haven't even got to enjoy the car since doing a lot of my upgrades. Guess its what I get for not doing the work myself to begin with.

Oh, forgot to add, that my sensor fuse wont blow if I disconnect the front left 02 sensor, which I have replaced twice since. Only thing that keeps it from blowing.

look past the sensor, to the engine harness...seems you have a short in the engine harness itself...

I replaced the engine harness that runs from the PCM to all the engine/trans sensors and connects to the front harness on the top of the right wheel well, entirely with one from another car, no changes. Also replaced the PCM. Only part of the harness I haven't touched, is the one that runs from the fusebox to the drivers firewall. But it looks to be in good shape, no places where it looks like he may have smashed it when trying to put the headers/exhaust in. I'm thinking either a ground wire tucked away somewhere probably got cut, pulled, something during the install that I can't find, or something is shorting on my header somewhere on that side, and is conducting through my o2 sensor
