Ryne's uncle is damn good at setting up gears. He's been doing them for years.

That sounds good. I only got one quote so far and it was like 850$ to install the gears and replace the bearings and seals. ...

If its a M6 car mpg doesn't change too much it just gives you power in 6th at around 60mph instead of 75-80 with stock 342s

when i had a six speed in my car w/ a 4.10 gear out back i would be roughly around 2300 rpm at 80 mph in sixth gear... this is with a 25.5-26 inch tire.... when i had the 3.42s in it i would be at roughly 1800 rpm @ 80 mph with the same tire size...

its pretty good on the street and even the highway... when geared up it just sucks if you have to go on long drives which i dont do anyways... i still run 4.10 gears, but my trans was built with a lower 1st and 2nd gear set so around town its real nice..

my buddy has a t350 in his 1960 olds lolo with a 3.00 gear out back, and he can cruise it at 2,800 rpm at 80 mphon the freeway..he drives it to vegas all the time...so its not really that bad, just gotta match it to the right gear/ tire/converter size for whatever your plans are for the car...
