Default Need help, crank tool

I know this is a long shot, but does anyone have a tool similar to this for the crank pulley that could bring it by? I stripped the first 5 threads out of my crank trying to use the "long bolt", and now I'm up **** creek without a paddle because its my only car and I can't get the damn pulley on far enough to even catch the threads (I gave up being nice and used a 3lb mallet + 250* in the oven and its still 1/2" away from being all the way on). I can give you cash for gas money or whatever if someone is willing to bring one by. I'm in chula vista off the 805.

I am nowhere near you and the one I have is kind of messed up but it worked for me, helps alot if you put the pulley an the oven for a little while, it goes on real easy.

If you cant get one and can get out here ill lend you mine but thats quite a drive, im sure someone closer can help you out.

Thanks man, I'm thinking I'm going to have to rent a car to solve this issue. Unfortunately I don't live within 10 miles of anywhere I can rent one so walking is out of the question. I have a home depot across from me so I went there to look for threaded rod but all they have is standard, no metric stuff. I really don't know anyone around here to give me a ride either.

i have one, im in the bay though...if you want i could ship it to you and you could ship it back when your done?

btw i JUST went through this ordeal on my car (even bought a whole short block in a panic mode lol)

have you chased the threads yet and cleaned it all out? we did that to mine, my first 4-5 threads were fucked, chased the threads with a 16mx2.0 tap i believe and blew it all out wid compressed air...fit like a glove after.

Yeah I have it all cleaned out, I just don't have a long enough bolt. I'm supposed to be driving to new mexico tomorrow, and even if I wasn't I really don't have time to wait for one to get shipped to me. I dunno what to do.

I've called every place I can find for the last 2 hours or so. Nobody carries metric stuff. Even the specialty fastener places that deal in wholesale don't have it.

I think I found a place with m16x2.0 threaded rod, I'm getting a ride tomorrow to try and pick it up. Oh well, this gave me time to get my stock motor mounts out in preparation for my new spohn solids that should be here tomorrow.
