Default got a ticket, a few ?'s

got a "citation" today doing 55 in a 35... the guy said i have the option for the driving class since it's been longer than 2 years since my last visit.

after getting home and reviewing the ticket, which is some new automated ticket that he printed out... the bottom half says "served" and there's a line for MY signature and under it says "without admitting guilt, i promise to appear as directed in this complaint" I did not sign that line.

my question is, aren't I supposed to sign that line? everytime i've gotten pulled over they make me sign it. have I not technically been "served" by not signing?

No need to sign.

But, let's imagine what you would do? Go to the judge with ticket in hand and say "see, I didn't sign it, therefore I wasn't served".

That would be funny.

You only have to sign if the "criminal traffic" box is checked. 20+ in AZ could be criminal so you got off easy
