Default Tech help please
Hey guys my buddy just put his 01 z28 together (head gasket) and the car is backfiring alot.any ideas?

Yea,no codes were at the speedway rite now n he ran a 14.5 lol only 2 groups today!

Just the head gasket or did he do a cam swap while he was at it?

Maybe a bad plug. Had one that missfired with no codes.Had a cracked insulator.

Bad plug, loose plug wire, maybe one of the wires was damaged when pulled off.

Were the plugs all gapped before install and not dropped on installation?
