The date should be Saturday January 30th. I'm just waiting for the $2000 track deposit to come in.

Yes, factory computer or aftermarket computer is just fine.

I'm not ready to make the call for sponsors yet. I'm still working out the details with the track.

I think we would be interested in bringing a few of our and customers vehicles...

I'd suggest a heads up any Gen III/IV LS based / 275 drag radial class..

Also maybe a Quick 8 for Gen III/IV based stuff....

then dont worry if its carb or efi just LS based.

I like the sound of either one of those classes. Here is what I'm currently working on for 275 drag radial class.

We're still in a holding pattern waiting for the track to finalize our date.

Remember that all domestic vehicles are welcome, not just LS1's, so if there is a Quick 8 it will be who ever is the fastest that shows up. "Run what you brung!" And its going to remain EFI-powered, no carbs.

A couple of things: Make sure you specify 'cars' otherwise you will see a few LS based dragsters show up. Also, you said no delay boxes for starting line but what about the guys running nitrous controllers and boost controllers? Are you running a pro or sportsman tree?

If it becomes an LS type only event let us know and we would come to that...we run West Coast Hot Rod Assoc. that has good payouts with similar types of classes.

Thank you for the tips. When I said no delay boxes, etc, I meant reaction time aids. Nitrous controllers and boost controllers are part of the engine in my book, and do nothing to help you leave sooner. Therefore they're legal. They'll also help turn a 10.80 car into a 11.0 car, perfect for the 11.0 index class, for example.

I plan on running the standard .500 sportsman tree for everyone, but that can change if everyone in the class wants a pro tree.

CalSpeed, I appreciate the support, but as I dont run an LS1 engine in my car, no racing event I am hosting will be LS1-only. I wouldnt want to eliminate myself from competition! Besides, we'll get a lot more cars, a lot more interest, and a lot more support if we open it up to other makes and models. I'm sure the Ford and Dodge guys would love the chance to blow our doors off.
