Default StockSS project

Goal is to get the car to be able to run in a 10.0 index class on the stock bottom end and still be daily driveable. So far custom cam came in and the 6pt chromoly wolfe roll bar is on the way. I'm pushing to have it done by march, but might just hold off and do a few other things i wanted to do before hand and push it back until after the summer is over.

My buddy went 9's on a stock LS1 bottom, ported LS6 heads, single plane, elbow, 100mm tb, LT's w/ bullets on the ends, large cam, and a huge shot, roll cage, weight reduction, full suspension. He could still drive the car around if he wanted, that is if it was legal, lol.

yea but my goal is to keep driveability. I'm not gutting the **** out of the car and running a monster cam. Shot will be a 150 think thats avg, not a "huge" shot

Something has to give with a 10 second car. Either less weight or more horsepower (i.e. bigger cam or bigger shot).

11.04 and nothing has given so far, adding well over 150rwhp so shouldnt have to give to much. To get a 10.0 might need some weight off the car

Rear seat's don't weigh anything in the 4th gen's.

Passenger seat might make a difference though.

The rear seat buckets weight nothing, but I felt like the rear seat back rest was a bit heavy.

I guess it just depends on how crazy you really want to get.

For the most interior weight savings I'd recommend some aftermarket seats.. If you really wanna drop that much dough.

already figured that, even though i bet it coudl squeak out some lower 60' times, but thats in the works. I would never spend the money to open up the 10bolt and throw gears in it.

the seats are not worth removing but the back rest is about 20-30lbs and you can still drive people around if u leave the seats little uncomfortable tho.

Even with the buckets and backrest removed, it still retains the shape of the seat and is actually not bad comfort wise to sit down on. I have the backrest, buckets, and seat belts remove, and still had passengers back there.

^More headroom too.

Now for seat weight savings, full power/lumbar front seats are ******* heavy.
