Default Thanks again CMS

Big thanks to the CMS crew again for another job well done, and on very short notice.

I shattered the diff in my 12-bolt two Saturdays ago at the SCEDA event in Fontana, pushed the car back off the line, loaded it onto a car trailer (different story, and needed about 4 beers to recover from that one) and called Ryne - from the track. Two hours later it was at CMS and they had it apart immediately, diagnosed the problem (the little fragmented remains of the posi didn't require a forensic evaluation) and we had parts on order. Now I'm ready with the 4.10's and a spool, which should now hold up to ST clutch launches.

While there, I had them fab up a cool simple exhaust system (3" Y into 4" with Mag muffler, dumped) to free up some weight. It sounds pretty solid too. Neighbors gave me that "WTF did he do to that car now?" look, so I suppose it's a tad louder now.

Thanks again for the responsiveness and great service.

Nice, I bet it sounds nice with that exhaust. Ive been pretty happy with mine, when im able to build a drag car ill probably have em build me one similar to yours to save some weight. How fast was the car running before it broke?

Broke on first run of day. The track claimed a few driveline victims - it was hooking hard as hell. Reaction was 0.010, lifted both wheels, and came to a grinding halt 40 feet out

That Mcleod ST is so hard on parts...prior to this, the car twisted both 33-spline axles.

No prob Ryne - gotta give props where it is due.

The car feels faster, but who knows? We'll know Saturday at the PSCA race. It does feel like the throttle response is a lot snappier. On the street it has no traction, so it's really hard to tell.

The weight savings alone should be worth a couple tenths IMO.

Hey Ryne,
Let's set up an appointment after PSCA for a 6-pt install and the LS1 PCM conversion. I got the green light from V. I also want to pull a few more pounds out of the car to offset the weight of the bar.

considering the use of the car, lets pull both bumper supports, and cut out the inner fender liners in the front, that is some weight right there, plus i would change to some kirkey or jazz seats, that will take some weight out as well
