From one of the experts on BenzWorld "MB won't do **** anymore..no freebies, no nothing... they are REALLY cutting back on services/allowances...but not cost!!!"

Sorry - looks like you're on your own. :-(

One thing you have to remember about those expensive oil changes, manufacturers like BMW only require an oil change every 10,000-15,000 miles. So if you follow that, the $60 oil change youll do on a honda for example every 3,000 miles is theoretically just as expensive.

On a side note, if I owned a BMW I would NOT wait ten to fifteen thousand miles to change my oil lol.

Ask to see the print out from the alignment back in 2008. Every alignment I do we save a copy and give the customer one. One way to help CYA if something like this comes up from a dealer standpoint. The dealer will cover it, just have all your ducks in a row. I may not work for MB but have plenty of fun with Toyotas.

I love my BMW and maint. isnt as expensive if you find the right indy shops although I try to do what I can myself; Jason and I changed my spark plugs, water pump, thermostat, ect. on my 530i and it was very straight forward and parts for the BMW are less expensive than my F-Body; its just the dealerships that charge more as far as hourly rate than anything else and try to ram you in the *** with the bill; these are great cars and more sophisticated but they arent made of magic.
