Default Tire shops in OC

I'm looking for a place where I can rotate my rear 555Rs. the passenger side is balding in the center and it's at the wear bars, but it's still an R compound. Tire shops look at the wear bar and say NO they won't dismount and remount it.

Anybody know a place that can?

Alright Lee, this is what you are going to do...get a hold of a flat head screw driver, a crow bar, and a sledge hammer...
JK, good luck finding a shop.

Just for the next set of tires, air them down a little. That probably why its wearing like that.

I was running them at 21psi and the centers are wearing faster than the edges. I have them at 15PSI now. Rides like **** but it hooks great.

I'm partial to Amato Tire in Laguna. They are always willing to barter with me.

It's in the first sentence of the very first post... 555R's.

Since when were R compound drag radials reclassified as street tires?

Yeah, I knew Sears wouldn't take it. I had them at 30 first for a little bit, then 26 when I used a penny to check tread depth and found some unevenness, then 24 warm on street and it still wore down the centers faster than the outside, so I lowered both sides to 21, and the centers were still wearing down more than the edges. Gilbert ran them around 15/16PSI near the end of their life.

There's a place called America's Tire Depot (not the chain) off of Lincoln just east of the 5 (make a right on Lincoln if you get off going North on the 5). Don't talk to the owner. The chubbier dude that usually works the bays is chill and owns a 3rd gen. Let him know Ryan with the black T/A sent ya. He should take care of you.
