Yep, finally got tired of my heavy old bird, my forged motor and 9" are going into the Z28 and either a TH350 or TH400, im gonna cage it to run 8.50s but hoping if I can get everything I can out of the setup I might get it to run a high 9.

Lol, start with a clean turd gen, immediately lighter from the get go. thats what I was gonna do with mine. A friend of mine out here keeps up with modded ls1 cars in his, and he is still on a lo3 305 tbi motor! pretty impressive in my book.

i planned on that as well but if you completely strip both the two cars are not a whole lot different, I was still going to go with a third gen but got a killer deal on my 98Z so I had to go that route.

Damn, This brings back memories of my car. I removed the HVAC, stero, washer fluid tank, fog lights, all the smog stuff and so much more. I lost track once i started using the sawzall . I added a little weight with the iron block and turbo kit, but I think the power will make up for that.

Here are some pictuers of what I did to mine.

Looks good XpEdItIoUs, I like how you did your fuses. my plan is to keep my dash but mount the fuse panels under the panel for the pass air bag.
