Well I broke my 5th clutch disk today. Trans shifts fine. Research says I probably have too much free play in my input shaft.

So I'm looking for one of the following:

A) Cheap DD car for sale, good running condition, I don't really care about appearance. (I'll keep the LT1 parked until I can complete my swap)

B) LT1 T56 transmission, good working order.

Let me know what you guys have, thanks.

Yeah, but I am not sure if I want to have this trans rebuild only to be getting rid of it shortly afterward for my swap. Unless I get this trans converted to LSx style later...

From what I've read, I might have too much free play in my input shaft. It's breaking the disc's seperating the inside sprung hub from the riveted pads...

Ya that is crazy. Pull it out and check it out. U check clist for ne trans id say pick one up for cheap untill u get that one gone through. unless there's a different problem. Id say check the flyhwheel too. If its warped id imagine it would cause the same problem as freeplay on the input shaft.

Same thing would happen to me before i swaped out to a th400. I decided to go auto because with the cost of clutches on a m6 made it not worth it anymore.
