Never been there but found this thread. Seems as if the shop, from the first page I read, is reputable. Hope this helps.

By the way, are you sending your car here from Texas?

I had rear gears installed by them and no problems. I know other people that have had cams and engine work done by them and they were happy. The shop use to be run by the father now it is his son.

they do good work..tim actually built 2 of my motors and they run strong they have great prices too... not the cheapest prices persay but in many cases u get what u pay for.. they were sponsors here a yr or 2 back not really sure why they stopped..they are pretty well known in the gn and lt lsx world..but they havnt really been throwing their name out in our world for the last few yrs now..its more or less word of mouth..im sure theres ppl that will chime in from the older lt ls shop world..the shop was owned by the father a few yrs back but is now run by the sons Tim and Nick lee

I guy I always see racing at Fontana had a fresh motor built by them Fail and they wouldn't back up there work. I would rather go with CMS where Ryne is known to back up his work. I don't know the specifics just that he said to stay away.

I originally had my headers installed years ago by them and they charged me $650 to install headers, new plugs/wires and motor mounts. I made it super clear to them to install my GM gaskets on the headers and they said they did. I later found out they used the shitty *** pacesetter ones that came with the headers and kept the GM ones. At the time I was only making $9/hr so I was kinda pissed it was so expensive for a half a days work. But I didn't know of any other shops or people to install them for me.

My car went in at 6 am friday. It ended up taking them 4 days and me having to call TSP to realize the coating on my headers made the fit for the Y-pipe too snug to slide on properly. They actually couldnt figure this out for themselves. I didnt get my car till late monday

I've had good experiences with Don Lee.

He did my clutch a while back on my Camaro. It was pretty cheap, quick and painless. Can't complain. He's also done other work on my car along with another shop at the same time. Weird, I know...

I had my subframe connectors welded in there about 4-5 years ago. They did a good job on welding them on but didn't tighten the subframe connector to lower control arm bolt(s) enough, so when i drove away it was obvious. I turned my car around, went back and talked to them and they fixed the problem.

Probably referring to me, and the engine they built for me had a sleeve installed w/out my knowledge, and some "free" loose fasteners found within the engine on teardown. Not that the sleeve is an issue in itself (hell, I cleaned up the cylinders and it's in my current 385), but you disclose that kind of stuff. They flycut the pistons, and all of them looked different - screwed up a nice set of SRP forged units. Pushrods were a mile too long, causing it to break 977 springs, and a host of other issues found with the engine. I'm surprised it lasted as long as it did.

When confronted with the issues, I never heard back from Tim. I know a few guys that swear by his work, but I won't go back and I caution everyone to check everything they have done at DLA.
