iI really hoe this wasn"t anybody from the cruise. My prayers out to all the victims. Please tell me the victims were not any way associated with the cruise.

This was unfortunate. My prayers go out to the family of the occupants in the silver Nissan. I was ahead of the incident near the front group of cars. One of our other AZ members was just behind and was one of the first on sceen to render assistance. She called me to let me know what was going on so I could radio ahead to others in our group. I hope this does not cause problems for future events as this is a favorite event for the AZFBA that we look forward to every year. As what usually happens, one person can ruin it for everyone else. I would say a vast majority of the participants are very careful drivers and were enjoying a nice drive up a scenic road and NOT RACING. This is why we have the track day, to let it all hang out in a controlled and safe environment.

First I want to thank everyone that came out to the event.
The events that occured during the ROTW Cruise were tragic and I am saddened that it happened.
Due to the change in format this year I did not end up giving the safety brief that I have in the last 2 years. However I am not sure it would have helped. I have been in touch with the SBPD Det. to make sure that this does not reflect on every car club and car enthusiast that was there that day and request (again) if a police escort would be available should we be able to do the cruise again next year.
As far as the Track day. DID EVERYONE HAVE FUN?
