I was screwing around on the internet and found this...

http://blog.cardomain.com/2009/03/18...toronado-w-34/

Attempts were made for a true FWD Muscle Car, but I guess the public wasn't ready for it....

not muscle, but you can definitely get performance, especially with those ever so popular rent-an-impala....
But fwd didn't get the nick name "fail wheel drive" just for ***** and giggles, lol.

muscle car - a domestic vehicle with boat like handling and a large displacement motor.

so no lol granted there are some fast FWD's but muscle goes hand in hand with burnouts, and honestly if i do a burnout it looks good....if an impala does a burnout i assume they wanna make it to the grocery store before coupon day is over lol Like mentioned above, FWD is a grocery getter, slap a LS4 in it and pour tons of money in it, and you have a ballsy grocery getter

to me a Muscle car has to be a domestic 2 door RWD V8 powered. FWD = tunner, how can you call a car muscle if it cant kick the *** end out when you hit the throttle?

For my daily I have a 06 Impala SS. It's a great car very confortable and a total sleeper that surprises many people.

NO IT ISN"T A MUSCLE CAR although I am not sure a G8 or a CTS-V I would even call a Muscle car.

yea I was going to say lets not forget about the Toronado.....

you guys have heard about the Hurst Hairy Oldsmobile 442 right? Had two blown 425ci engines in it... the front engine was for the front wheels & the rear engine was for the back tires.... all together you got a bad *** ride. so I dont know what you call that........ 4 wheel drive?

Personally I would like to see an awd muscle car... but thats just me?

A lot of people are missing the fact that there is 2 questions here.
muscle cars OR performance cars

muscle car is a hell no that is a 2 door car that handles like crap with a big ci motor hell you might be-able to get away with some of the old 4 doors from the 60's and 70's as muscle cars.
performance cars yes they can be. They can be sporty ie
cobalt=sport compact/tuner
impala=well its a grocery getter(but can be made to a performance car/sport sedan)
g8, ctsv and all other cars that are in this category are sport sedans
corvette=sports car not muscle
a performance car/sporty car can be made and can be fwd. If the car has any type of performance or sport to it read above that answers the question.

Quick Reply: Can you consider an FWD to be a muscle/performance car??
