Default Question . . .

Hey guys, so baysically my friend of mine is havin trouble w/ his tranny n im tryin to help him figure out what it is,,

the transmission in question is a GM 4T60E, the tranny will not shift properly and only moves when shifted by hand (it's an automatic),....i would appreciate any ideas of what any of you might believe to be the problem, thanks!

The trans is a 4l60e and it sounds like a servo. Send him to chris!lol

+1 most automatic transmission problems are caused by low fluid level. Check it while running.

Ok just out of curiosity what car is it? an old wbody? like grandprix or regal or something? If so have you checked the TPS? when did this start and are there any other issues like bad idle?

I still say check the tps, sometimes it can cause weird issues with trans as well.
