Thumbs up Famoso Raceway, Friday 5-14-10

Well as many of you are aware here, Fontana sucks. The track prep is pretty bad, its dusty, 1-2 hour waits before runs, and the elevation is 1237ft which doesnt help at all. So, instead of throwing away $20 ever so often, a few of us have decided to make the drive to Famoso Raceway in Bakersfield on Friday, May 14. The gates open at 7pm, hence, some of you might want to stay overnight. Some guys run an avg of 3/10ths quicker there. Being that the track is prepped better than over here and the elevation is 615ft, I can see why. So just in case anyone wants to take a drive and try to get the best 1/4mi et possible this might be worth it. If a group wants to go maybe we can caravan... just an idea.

Just called Famoso, looks like $20 to race and $15 to watch.

I might be down for this. Just gotta get a new tranny in this bitch. Never ran my car in the 1/4 and might as well go to the better track lol.

My only day off from school and work is friday so this would work out perfectly.

Hopefully it wont be too packed. They are having TNT on the 28th too but I figured since thats Memorial Day weekend, I think, it might be packed plus people have plans. Hopefully it'll be a perfect day.All I need is one good timeslip to brag about and I'll be happy even if I wait. Lol. I'll probably or want to be there well before 7 so I can start running right away and maybe beat the later crowd.

We will have several customers cars there...

several 11-12 sec rides but more notably:

White C5 454" LSx/A4 600 rwhp N/A/ Spray 800 rwhp (low 10's n/a, 9's n20
Black Z06 427" LS7/6-spd -621 rwhp n/a, spray 808 rwhp (mid 10's n/a, 9's n20)
SOM WS6 408"/a4/spray (10's n/a, 9's n20)
several fbodies looking to run 10's
Blue 72 C10 truck 427" LSx /w F1 Procharger (8's to low 9's)

and I may take a car but with how many customers cars going, ill be probably going between cars helping out and logging/tuning cars in the pits & lanes...

If any of you are there, be sure to hit me up and say hi

As the day gets closer I'll see exactly what time I'll be heading over there that day and maybe a few of us can roll out as a group.

Alright. I might as well just stay in Methville... I mean Bakersfield overnight too. Let me know if you plan on staying there.
