jj62, would you be happy if this happened to you? Being arrested for a parking violation? If what the OP says is completely true then the cop has a problem.

No I wouldn't. Like I have said before the arrest was chicken **** if all of what the OP says is true. But like one poster said attitude can and will get you into trouble or arrested for some for some C/S Calif law.
California has a lot of them. Whether or not it holds up in court remains to
be seen.

Actually they laugh about it...the only two times I was pulled over in that car in the last 3 yrs. I've had cops pull up beside me in traffic...marked and unmarked asking about it and always laugh. Funny I never get them laughing when they pull me over in the T/A
