I am curious, I wonder if GM wouldn't mind hooking a U.S resident up with a car since we bailed their asses out? I for one would like a silverado 1500 extended cab in blue or silver. I am wondering who else shares the same thought?

Word, we just turned over $13,000,000,000,000 (13 trillion) yesterday. We're so screwed....

I wonder how much the OP pays in taxes that would make him think that he is worthy of a free vehicle.

I dont know but with the taxes taken from my pay and my property taxes I can feed a small family and pay their rent...easy. So....I'll take a ZR1 and call it even . Im 26 so theyre still gonna get me for another 25-30yrs. When it comes to taxes all you can do is bend over and hope they spit on it.

Been a natural U.S citizen and working since I was 15, so that a tad over 10 years of paying taxes. Bought GM vehicles, seeing as how I am a tax payer they took my money as well, when I lend someone money I either want something in return or my money back lol.

This was not a serious question, it was a lets get a discussion going lol. I wanted to start an automotive discussion.

Actually I think they paid in full. They were very proud of it and even made a tv ad stating that they paid the loan off.

Ohh how I love providing reading material.

http://reason.com/archives/2010/04/2...ailout-payback

Same reason Ford looks good is they borrowed money against their worth which does not directly show up on paper as it is a loan against their value. It is all how they shuffle the money.

Just because you have a job, doesn't mean you pay taxes. I'm not trying to start a fight. I've got a few friends who can't get that through their head.

From what I've heard they didn't pay it all off and they took out a loan to make the payment. Like I said though, that's what I heard.

LOL nahh I have paid taxes as my parents make a fair amount on their own and when i worked I paid taxes and when i worked at a restaurant when I was 16/17 I didn't know you could claim only 10% of your tips and would claim almost all of them. I do not cheat the system as I am not a rich person and cannot find ways to hide my money.

When the government takes my money I worked for, I consider that paying taxes lol. No worries I am not taking any offense just wanted discussion, I figure the western section could use more thought provoked discussion haha.
