Could be. Just out riding horseback and what not. Come to think of it, where my dad, some of his friends, and I used to ride up in the mountains years ago is now drug trafficking and human trafficking area. I could see that happening. And being the LEOs that they are, made the bust. Whether LEOs can do that while off duty or not is something I can't answer though.

you can take 400 pounds of pot and not catch the guys carrying it?

there is a "known smuggling corridor" on the border and it has relatively no fencing?

Looks to me like they've been "looking the other way" for quite some time.

The unidentified officers were able to confiscate roughly 400 pounds of marijuana during the seizure in early June at a known smuggling corridor along the U.S.-Mexican border where there is "relatively no fencing," Kirkham said. No arrests were made, and the smugglers were able to retreat into Mexico.

HERE'S WHAT REALLY HAPPENED, Two off duty officers went out and bought some weed only to be caught on the way back to town so they made up some bullshit story saying they seized it and the smugglers got away. The threat part was a nice touch

You would be surprised by how little fencing there is. Going towards Naco, you can see the fence through the city, but maybe a mile west of the city, no more fence, and just open fields till it hits the mountains.

I agree, we know who they are and yet we let them continually run drugs I think the DEA makes too much money off the big guys so they let them be and bust the little guys.

The only strange thing is 400 lbs of weed on horse? I dunno if you guys have seen one lb. of weed it is not that small, I mean it is possible but that would be noticeable.

Because all he wanted to do was impregnate our country with a horrible medical insurance reform and then spend more money in 2 years than the previous president did in 8 years.

A good ol fashioned saying, "How did the cat get so fat?" this applies perfectly to government.

i agree with all thats been said except for 1 thing. Yes, Obama is looking the other way, but so has Bush 1 and Bush 2, Clinton, and all of the previous presidents. its not like Obama took the fences down, they were never erected.

I know that everyone says that the boarder is federal policy, but why cant a CA governor put up a fence in CA land? Hell, electrify it while youre at it. If you really dont want people in then there are ways to stop it, nobody is interested in stopping the flow.
