Navy guy moving to SD What up folks. I just got orders to San Diego and had a few questions about the scene out west.
1) If I buy a car registered in Cali, can I get it re-registered and inspected with Texas plates on it and the cops not bother me?
2) If I buy a car from Texas and bring it to Cali, will I have to re-register it and will the cops give me grief?
I was planning on running higher octane so the having cats thing is a no-no.

sup bro. what you want to do is keep your out of state plates. that way you can run what ever you want and not get bothered by the cops. if you're running cali plates and have no cats you can get send to a ref. there's plenty of guys running around with no cats. you wont get hassled as long as you dont act like a jack *** on the road.
what part of S.D are you coming to? I'm in carlsbad near oceanside.

sup bro. what you want to do is keep your out of state plates. that way you can run what ever you want and not get bothered by the cops. if you're running cali plates and have no cats you can get send to a ref. there's plenty of guys running around with no cats. you wont get hassled as long as you dont act like a jack *** on the road.

welcome. are you looking for a ls1 motor or a ls1 powered car? my buddy is selling his blk 02 ws6 it has around 130 mi,but looks bitchin' and runs strong. i dont know the price though. I can find out. other than that there's tons of ls1's for sale. camp pendelton isnt too bad. I'm near the westfiels mall. we just had a nice car meet across the street from there. lots of nice domestic muscle cars.

I made a mistake saying Pendleton. Im over at Naval Base San Diego then Ill be on North Island.
What kinda street/track action goes on around here? I havent been to a track or street race in over a year.

not much track racing going on here. we have qualcomm that has a shitty 1/8 mi.30 per racer and we also have fontana that is about 2:30 mins from you.that's the closest 1/4 mi.
