Thanks Ryne, I dont think I can squeeze another $300 for tick master out of my budget at the moment, although in the future, I will be doing so.

2 questions (I hope you dont mind):

1) If, in the future, I want to upgrade my master, do I have to take the tranny out again?
2) Where can I get this shim at?

Thanks!!

Sid.

to upgrade the master, you do not have to drop the tranny again.
just remove the master clyinder line that goes into the slave and replace it with the new piece. and bleed again.(and adjust if you get an adjustable unit.)
as for the second question, i have no idea. summit maybe?

So far, the clutch job project will cost close to $650 and that is without labor since I am planning to do this project my self.
i'd like to get a LS7 rather then spend 450 for a SPEC...where are you getting yours from? i need to overnight one asap

Hit me up when you do this swap if you don't mind. Want to watch and learn, I'm in West Covina too. Was in the process of doing it to my car, have the tranny out, but I kinda got sidetracked and bought a 58" 3d plasma last week before ordering the car parts lol.

Use a new slave and get a remote bleeder if you can. It took me a weekend to do this by myself with no lift. I was happy with the LS7 kit on my stock 02 Z28...

You will need a long maybe 3' or more socket extension for one of the bolts.
I had a hard time just unhooking all of the electrical connections as each one released differently. After doing it once I could probably do it in one day now but it was no walk in the park.

lol, yea I can attest to that. Did it with a friend at like 1am, got to that last bolt and we were stuck on it for an hour trying to get it with a 6in extension. I seriously daisy changed like 8 different extensions ranging from 6in to 1in and adapters from 1/2, 3/8, 1/4 drive to make it long enough, looked hilarious but it worked.

No problem, I'll just use my e-**** to slap that bolt out!!

But seriously though, 3', i thought i saw 3". I need to look for and buy that extension then.

EDIT: nevermind, I'll just use a 3 6" extension, hell 4 6" if i have too. I am pretty sure I already have at least 3.

haha cool, I can help get the tranny out, done that . I have a low-profile floor jack, and a little transmission jack that worked perfectly as well if you need to use either.

all you do is end up over extending the factory master, and not getting much else accomplished

Thanks James. My first CPA exam will be on Oct 4th (Monday), if you are available, I am planning to do the clutch on Oct. 9th (Saturday). I should have received everything by then. (LS7 clutch package and front rotors and pads). Basically i am replacing the clutch, flywheel, slave/to bearing, and installing tick speed bleeder as well. I'll wait until fund allow for the master. Also, front rotors and pads as well.
